How did you start creating?
I began painting furniture in the early 90’s as a way to decorate my house on a budget. I loved doing faux finishes and marblizing.
I started my professional furniture art journey after contacting Covid 19 in 2020 and I’m now a Long Covid survivor. Because of my Long Covid symptoms I was no longer able to continue working in the dental field. I started painting furniture from my home to give me a sense of purpose. It has blossomed into a wonderful full time adventure.
Favorite thing you have ever created?
Aside from my children, a large dresser with cow hide, turquoise and drips of rust.
Favorite Paint and Color to work with?
Eye Love Hue’s Rusty Nail is one of my favorite colors. I also tend to lean toward blues.
Something most do not know about you
I really struggle to see what I’m doing sometimes. One of many Long Covid symptoms.
Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What do you want to be when you grow up?
A cowgirl. I rode horses as much as I could.
If you could choose anywhere in the world to live, where would it be and why?
Anywhere close to my children and grandchildren. I’ve only ever lived near where I am and I’m ok with that.
Finish this sentence. On Sunday mornings, you can usually find me...
Drinking a smoothie and snuggling with my pups on the couch.
How do you want people to remember you?
I would like people to remember that they felt happy when they were with me. I’m goofy and love to make others laugh.
